Are you ready for a career making the world a better place? With a degree from the
UAA College of Health, you'll master the knowledge and tools you need to help people
and make your community healthier. The college is Alaska's hub for degrees in health
care and social services, with 45+ academic programs in clinical health care, social
assistance, justice, and public health. Many of the college's programs prepare you
for frontline careers providing care or services directly to patients and clients.
Other programs train you to help people and communities through research, education,
laboratory work, or administration.
No matter what profession you pursue, you'll be part of our far-reaching community
of healers, helpers, and change-agents. Our alumni are improving lives across Alaska
and around the world鈥攊n hospitals and clinics, government agencies, nonprofits, private

Is a career in clinical, community, or behavioral health right for you?
AKCIS is a free resource available to Alaska residents, made possible through a partnership between the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education and the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development. You can take a personality inventory, explore career information including national and state data on job growth, salary, etc., and explore related programs of study.
Career Coach is a resource made available by the Univeristy of Alaska to guide inidividuals in exploring career options. You can take a Career Assessment to learn more about yourself and Career Coach will give you career suggestions based on your interests. You may also choose to browse career infromation to learn more about professions within various career clusters.

COH programs are run out of some of the newest buildings on UAA's main campus, featuring state-of-the art labs and equipment, as well as 15 campus locations across the state.

Our faculty and students are involved in some of the most important research happening in Alaska including critical issues like disease prevention, homelessness, criminal justice reform, and climate change, just to name a few.
