College of Health students (Master of Social Work graduate Autumn Merrill, School of Nursing graduate Artie Gorash, Radiologic Technology graduate Agnes Brown, and dental program graduates) take part in Sunday鈥檚 ceremony.
Alaska鈥檚 Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) are dedicated to providing engaging curriculum and activities for students interested in healthcare. Middle and high school students from Nulato, AK participated in activities focusing on the cardiovascular system, blood pressure, and basic emergency first aid.
UAA School of Nursing Director Carla Hagen and Associate Director Kristin Lutz were inducted into the Western Academy of Nurses, recognizing their dedication to strengthening the UAA School of Nursing program.
Dr. Tina DeLapp, a UAA emerita Professor of Nursing, and Pheobe Bales, a legal studies student, have received awards for their outstanding achievements in philanthropy.
This year鈥檚 Fall Grand Rounds, organized by UAA鈥檚 Interprofessional Education Committee (IPE) and the Alaska Center for Rural Health & Health Workforce (ACRH-HW), focused on the topic of Traditional Healing by request from rural communities.
