The UAA Justice Center worked in partnership with the (DPS) through the Federal Bureau of Justice Assistance funded (AK-SAKI) to conduct research on DPS policies and procedures related to sexual assault investigations, prosecutions, and victim-survivor engagement and support. The AK-SAKI research project used qualitative and quantitative methodologies to answer three research questions:
      1. What are key stakeholders’ »¨¼¾´«Ã½s with sexual assault investigations, prosecutions, and victim-survivor engagement and support, and how do those »¨¼¾´«Ã½s compare to their perceptions of just outcomes?
      2. How common are the »¨¼¾´«Ã½s and just outcomes identified by key stakeholders?
      3. What factors shape the likelihood of achieving those just outcomes?
